Negative Prompts Explained

Negative prompts tell an image or video model which unwanted qualities to avoid.

A negative prompt lists unwanted elements such as blur, extra fingers, distorted faces, text, watermarks, or camera shake. It guides generation away from these traits but cannot guarantee their removal.

Be specific and brief: use “blurry background text” instead of a long list of vague words like “bad” or “ugly.” Add only problems relevant to your scene, because excessive exclusions can reduce detail or create unnatural results.

In CinderHub, start with your main prompt, generate a result, then add negative terms for visible problems. Change one or two terms per attempt so you can identify what actually improves the output.
